I probably carved this in 2012. Naxian gold and black marble. I love the vein that appears to be clouds at night, but it was quite a learning lesson as the black is volcanic ash and will destroy your point chisel!! The golden marble has such a chunky crystal structure that it's very difficult to get any more refined detail as in the fingers without shattering. All in all I still love it, I copied the design from an archeology book that was a motif on a king's throne.
